Think of: fruit trees, peace & quiet, space, fresh air, friendly people, bush, farm animals + art. This is what campsite Eco-tourist farm De Biezen is made of. A place where we stayed with our tiny caravan for a few days in August. The owner, Rina, makes sure you feel welcome and that the serenity of the place is well kept by not over-packing the campsite. Staying at De Biezen is a natural experience guaranteed. Pick a spot on the right side of the premises, where you’ll be visited by chickens and cats in the morning. Or get a beautiful sunset, horses and sheep on the other side of the wooded-bank between the fruit trees. De Biezen is open for camping the entire year and motivates you to come winter camping as well! #Pete Gone Camping Netherlands.
Pete Gone Camping Netherlands: art and farm animals on the campsite
It’s a feast to stroll around on the campsite of De Biezen. Everywhere you look, you’ll be surprised by a beautiful piece of art. Handmade by Rina, the owner. ‘An outside gallery’ could be the second destination of this place, since some art is also for sale! This campsite is created with love and kept with care. At your welcome, Rina shows you the communal kitchen, the fine sanitary and the shelter where you’ll find tons of information about the area. At your spot on the campsite, you get a personal fireplace and please feed any organic leftovers to the animals around you <3 There are countless farm animals: horses, sheep, chickens, a guinea-pig and cats.
#nomnom good food nearby
Camping, food, camping, food, camping, food. Don’t know yet what I love most ;-) But they definitely go side by side! When waking up at The Biezen, get your fresh eggs for breakfast from Rina’s own chickens. Searching for a bakery or butcher? Everything you need can be found in the main street of Aarle-Rixtel village. When we stayed at De Biezen, we enjoyed a very special culinary evening in restaurant ‘Uniek‘ (5 minutes by car in Beek en Donk). Not only the food is delicious and surprising, also the decoration of this restaurant is quite intriguing. Taking a bike ride on a sunny day? DO NOT FORGET to visit tea garden ‘De wilde framboos’ (The Wild Raspberry) where we enjoyed THE MOST DELICIOUS cake ever.
And check this out!
When you stay here for a few days (I really recommend to stay here for at least 3 nights or more), take your chance to bike or hike around the area. It’s beautifully green and you’ll find forests, heathland and fields around you. Not very much into camping? De Biezen also offers rooms for rent in the Bed & Breakfast part. We will be back!BOOK NOW
